Iran is suffering under cruel and illegal sanctions and threats of war. A major bank there collapsed yesterday.1 And the Israeli government keeps accusing Iran of planning attacks on Israelis and Jews in Europe and elsewhere.
Even while facing prosecution for genocide, Israel is eager to depict Iran as an enemy of the world. For decades the audience most welcoming of that story has been the U.S. government. But public pressure has prevented a major war on Iran several times.
