In his State of the Union, Trump hardly bothered with excuses, but did both claim to have "obliterated" Iran's supposed nuclear weapons progam in June (while still offering no evidence for its existence) and complained that in current negotiations with Iran, "we haven’t heard those secret words, 'We will never have a nuclear weapon.'"

The United States has nuclear weapons, a fact that would NOT justify an attack on the United States. Neither would a war on Iran be justified if every claim were true.
