Delia Ramirez vs ICE and the War Machine
Hi Friends,
Congresswoman Delia Ramirez of Illinois is the sponsor of the Block the Bombs Act, aimed at halting shipments of weapons to the genocide in Gaza. Thanks to her leadership, over 200 candidates across the United States have endorsed it, giving the ongoing genocide a greater role in the primaries underway for November's elections.
Ramirez is all over the news for saying this out loud:
|
"The greatest threat to the homeland is called the Department of Homeland Security."
|
Delia Ramirezjust met with DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, asked her to resign, and assured her that the work to impeach and remove her would continue. Ramirez is the sponsor of the Melt ICE Act to de-fund ICE, and of the new Full Body Restraint Prohibition Act to prevent a particular type of DHS brutality.
Rep. Ramirez's work has made her a target of bigoted smear campaigns by some fellow Congress members and right-wing pundits. It is up to us to have her back!

Rep. Ramirez had this to say about Trump's new war on Iran:
"I stand with all people who yearn to be free, including Iranian protestors who have bravely demanded change. It is the action of the people that secures lasting change and enduring peace. History has shown us that peace and democracy have never been realized through strong men, United States imperialism, or unilateral military intervention. Regime change has always been the powerful's preferred pretense for advancing U.S. economic and corporate interests around the world."
We need to do everything we can to keep her in Congress!
Thanks for all you do!
