Pass the Make Billionaires Pay Their Fair Share Act
Hi Friends,
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP), and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) last week introduced the Make Billionaires Pay Their Fair Share Act, which would establish a 5% annual wealth tax on the 938 billionaires in the United States — who are now collectively hoarding $8.2 trillion that could transform the lives of millions of struggling people.

Under the bill, Elon Musk — worth $833 billion and now wealthier than the bottom 53% of U.S. households combined — would owe $42 billion in taxes, leaving him with approximately $791 billion. Mark Zuckerberg, worth $220 billion, and Jeff Bezos, worth $218 billion, would each owe approximately $11 billion.

This legislation would be a first step toward reining in U.S. oligarchs who use their wealth to dominate government, economics and media.

Thanks for all you do!
