Cuba Libre

Hi Friends,

Cuba is in crisis. Thousands await surgeries that cannot be performed for lack of electricity. Power outages are widespread, fuel and food are increasingly hard to obtain, and of course tourism has plummeted.1 The New York Times is claiming that there are no nations left in Latin America willing to risk the wrath of Trump by aiding Cuba.2

Trump has attacked numerous Venezuelan boats, kidnapped the president of Venezuela (significantly curtailing Venezuelan aid to Cuba), launched a war on Iran, and threatened to make Cuba his next victim. A speedboat carrying 10 men recently opened fire on Cuban troops.3

Click here to tell Congress to make this the point at which enough is enough!

If you've told Congress to end the embargo on Cuba, it's important to tell them again right now! And to ask others to do so too!

For six decades, the U.S. government has imposed cruel and illegal sanctions on the people of Cuba. For all of that time, as in numerous other countries around the world, such sanctions have brought, not democracy but suffering.

For three decades, the U.N. General Assembly has annually passed a near-unanimous resolution condemning the U.S. economic embargo of Cuba.4

Let's try a different approach of open relations with Cuba.
