ICE out of World Cup, Elections, and Existence
Hi Friends,
The World Cup is supposed to bring people together around a good-spirited, nonviolent competition. It could be a demonstration of how the world might cooperate on matters other than sports, perhaps including immigration, hunger, disease, and the natural environment. Of course, the Trump administration is heavily militarizing the World Cup.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin has said that ICE will be at the games, supposedly targeting "human trafficking, counterfeit tickets, and drug smuggling." He has not ruled out immigration arrests.
Meanwhile, various Congress Members have demanded a similar ICE presence at polling places for U.S. elections coming up in November.
The answer to this is to abolish ICE.

Congress has just given ICE another $70 billion.
But we've had some success at other angles for taking on ICE that can be advanced.
We've sent over 2 million letters to Amazon to press for it to end contracts with ICE. Send more here.
