Tell Congress Members to Stop Opposing a Deal to End War on Iran

Hi Friends,

Of course, Trump never should have waged a war on Iran! Of course, any deal he gets out of it will be terrible! Of course, he's a bumbling psychopath undeserving of praise even if he ceases one of his most disastrous projects!

But why are Congress Members from both parties denouncing a deal in favor of more war?

"Congress must review and reject this deal immediately," tweeted Senator Ed Markey (D-MA), while Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) called it “unconditional surrender,” Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) “a dangerous giveaway,” Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said it is “hard to imagine a more thorough capitulation,” and Rep. Jake Auchincloss (D-MA) called it “the most humiliating national security episode since the British burned the White House.”

If anyone could make the guy blowing up schools look like the more peaceful option, it's this crowd.

Tell Congress Members to Stop Opposing a Deal to End War on Iran!

You can edit and send this email to Congress:

As your constituent, I urge you to think hard before opposing any deal to end the immoral, illegal, disastrous, costly, and deeply unpopular war on Iran.

Of course it's a horrible outcome. Wars always have horrible outcomes. But rather than scoring partisan points or kissing up to weapons companies, we need to focus on whether it would be better to continue and possibly escalate the war or to end it.

Some of the supposed bad points of a deal may actually be positive. Illegal, deadly sanctions should end. Reparations payments should follow. Israel should stop killing people in Lebanon. Funds stolen from Iran should be returned. But even if you disagree, more war may make this deal look absolutely wonderful when all that is on the table is dramatically worse.

Are you on the side of peace or aren't you?
