Now's Our Chance to End the War on Lebanon

Hi Friends,

Israel's murderous ethnic cleansing in Lebanon is also sabotaging peace efforts in Iran. "All of Lebanon must burn," declared Israel's Minister of National Security recently: "For every tear of an Israeli mother, a thousand Lebanese mothers must weep."

As with all Israeli wars, the U.S. government has the power to withdraw its support and its weapons, and to put an end to it.

Debate and a vote on a war powers resolution to end the war on Lebanon is expected in the House early this week.

Tell your representative and senators to act now.

Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib has introduced "The House Resolution Standing with the People of Lebanon Against the Illegal Invasion, War Crimes, and Ethnic Cleansing Perpetrated by the State of Israel." It calls on the United States to use its immense leverage to force an end to the Israeli military invasion, reject threats of territorial expansion and the illegal occupation of Lebanese territory, investigate and prosecute war crimes, end U.S. support and participation in this invasion, deliver unconditional humanitarian and reconstruction aid, extend Temporary Protected Status for Lebanese nationals in the United States, and support the safe and inalienable right of return of all displaced Lebanese to their homes.

Congresswoman Tlaib and Congresswoman Delia Ramirez have introduced "The Lebanon War Powers Resolution," which orders the removal of all U.S. Armed Forces’ participation in unauthorized hostilities in Lebanon, including involvement in targeting assistance and intelligence sharing for the Israeli airstrikes and ground invasion.
