Abdul El-Sayed, candidate for the U.S. Senate from Michigan, has excited voters across the United States as a supporter of clean government, Medicare for All, environment, education, peace, and taxing billionaires.

El-Sayed is in a tight Democratic Primary, from which one candidate has just withdrawn — allowing corporate- and war-friendly "centrists" to consolidate behind a single candidate, the one who's been lavishly funded by AIPAC for years. Polling suggests that El-Sayed would be at least as strong in the general election as his Democratic opponent. But he would be dramatically better for Michigan, the United States, and the world.

RootsAction Senior Strategist India Walton, who in 2021 won a stunning Democratic primary victory over a 16-year incumbent mayor of Buffalo, and who vigorously campaigned in New York City for the election of Zohran Mamdani, is headed to Michigan with other activists to campaign for El-Sayed.
