Nukes for Saudi Arabia? Hell No.

Hi Friends,

Trump may have just broken his own record for reckless endangerment. He's trying to give nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia! But even some Republicans in Congress have concerns.

Tell Congress to block this nuclear proliferation right now!

Here's the email we've drafted for you to send:

This was something that Trump tried to do, without Congress, during his first term. In July 2019, the House Committee on Oversight and Reform issued a report titled "Corporate and Foreign Interests Behind White House Push to Transfer U.S. Nuclear Technology to Saudi Arabia," which noted that, under Section 123 of the Atomic Energy Act, approval of Congress is required to transfer nuclear technology to a foreign country. It is still required. Here are reasons not to grant that approval:

The United States gave Iran nuclear energy technology 60 years ago and has for most of that time cited that capacity as a reason to impose sanctions and to threaten or wage war.

Nuclear energy technology moves a government closer to nuclear weapons technology. Various nations have acquired the former for just this reason, and oil-rich Saudi Arabia would likely be doing the same.

Mohammed bin Salman has pledged to acquire a nuclear weapon if Iran ever builds one, and the current war may have made that more likely. Sending nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia is playing with fire.

Please tell me that you will block this move. Please speak out publicly.

In addition to emailing Congress at the link above, you can phone your representative's and senators' offices at this number (all you have to know is your address and what you want your Congress members to do):
