Hi Friends,

In a world facing urgent crises, like global warming, the biggest efforts often go into making things worse, through optional disasters like wars. A few things we're doing to break this cycle:

• Tell Congress to Stop Pushing the Climate Toward Uninhabitable Heat!
• Tell Congress to End the War on Iran
• Tell Congress to Reduce, Not Increase, Military Spending

Here's a new video of our September book club on Iran and the Bomb.

Meanwhile opportunities to solve problems are sometimes carefully avoided.

• There's no need for New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani to support Hakeem Jeffries for Democratic House Leader, and you can politely tell him so here.
• There's no need for Jeffries and his fellow "leaders" to give big supporters of super-unpopular wars the top spots on committees. We're pushing back on that too.
