As of late June, 52 people had died while locked up by ICE since Trump's second inauguration. One way we can advance the cause of abolishing ICE is to expose exactly what's happening in its secretive cages.

So, RootsAction is joining with other activist groups to advance a huge online action sending emails to the American Medical Association, the American Nurses Association, the Federation of State Medical Boards, and all governing bodies of licensed medical professionals in the United States to demand that they publicly report, as required by law, on medical ethics violations occurring inside ICE prisons.

These medical organizations should not be helping to cover up horrific treatment.

Much of what we know comes from recorded calls placed in vain to 911, as ICE has blocked emergency medical teams from assisting its prisoners. Journalists are also denied access. 

Shouldn't even that minority of the public that supports ICE be entitled to know what they are getting for their tax dollars?
