Does Hakeem Jeffries work for AI or humanity?
Hi Friends,
Hakeem Jeffries claims to be addressing the crimes and threats of artificial intelligence. How? Well, he's created a commission to study the matter — a commission stacked with Congress Members loaded with "campaign contributions" from the companies making AI, including Reps. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.), Valerie Foushee (D-N.C.), Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.), and Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.).1
Ted Lieu has not only praised AI's potential to create "a more utopian society," but has introduced a piece of legislation addressing AI that was written by AI.2
Democrats in Congress need to hear from us that misleadership by the likes of Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer is not acceptable.

On the same day that a CBS poll said 90% of Democrats support Medicare for All, and the same week that a Yale University report said that Medicare for All would save 114,000 lives and $1 trillion every year, Jeffries denounced Medicare for All on national TV.3
Jeffries and Schumer worked to delay a vote on the War on Iran until after the war had started, while failing to clearly oppose it before or after the launch of the war.4
In July, Jeffries opposed an amendment to block more U.S. weapons shipments to Israel that most House Democrats ended up supporting — a measure he knew was overwhelmingly popular with Democratic voters."5
Across numerous issues from ICE to Israel, public opinion and the platforms of inspiring new candidates are on one side, Schumer and Jeffries on the other.
